FAQ
If something isn't answered here, message us directly - we'd rather over-explain upfront than have any ambiguity.
-
No. We hold no stock and sell nothing directly. We're a buying agent - we source on your behalf within agreed rules and charge a transparent fee for doing so.
Everything we buy belongs to the client from the moment of purchase. -
Show Runner is for lists — multiple items, sourced and filled as thoroughly as possible. You'd accept close alternatives where the exact card isn't available.
Concierge is for a specific target where the exact card, grade, and condition matter and the wrong copy genuinely isn't acceptable.
If you need a specific PSA 9 Expedition Charizard reverse holo, that's Concierge.
If you need five vintage cards and would accept close alternates on two of them, that's Show Runner. -
You pay no percentage fee on items we don't find - the fee is calculated only on cards what we actually spend.
The minimum service fee still applies, as it covers the work performed regardless of outcome: brief review, comp research, and show preparation happen before a single card is bought.
Unfound items can roll to the next run or close the order, your choice at brief stage. Any unused wallet balance is refunded within 3 working days.
-
Your wallet covers card spend, service fee, and shipping in one transfer — there's no separate invoice for anything.
At guardrails stage we quote a total wallet figure. You make one bank transfer before sourcing begins. For show runs, this must clear at least 5 working days before the show date.
Your funds are held in a dedicated Floor & Folio business account with your transfer reference attached - always attributable to you, never mixed with operating funds.
Once your order is dispatched, any unspent balance is refunded within 3 working days. One transfer in, one refund out if applicable.
-
Yes, but it becomes an unwind rather than a simple cancellation. We'll attempt to resell the item promptly. You pay an unwind fee of 12.5% of the purchase price per item to cover resale friction. If the resale price is lower than what we paid, you cover the difference.
If it's higher, you receive the upside after the unwind fee. We provide a transparent record of the sale throughout. If an item hasn't sold within 30 days, we agree next steps together.

A printed document included with every Box Builder delivery. It lists every card purchased — condition, price paid, vendor, and a rationale note explaining why that card was chosen against your brief. It's part receipt, part curation record. We'd like it to be something worth keeping.
-
Every card is documented before it leaves our hands - photos for anything over £75, video for anything over £250, all timestamped.
If you believe something arrived in worse condition than documented, contact us within 48 hours of confirmed delivery. We share the dispatch evidence and work through it from there.
If the evidence supports your claim, we offer a resolution - partial refund, return and refund, or replacement sourcing at no additional service fee. -
Currently UK-based clients only. International shipping adds complexity and insurance complications we're not set up for at this stage. We'll revisit this on a case-by-case basis as the service grows.

Before any Box Builder mandate we have one conversation: what kind of collector are you right now?
Some people want cards that are genuinely hard to find - niche vintage, low-population slabs, pieces that don't come up often. These builds prioritise scarcity and character over familiarity. Others want a build anchored in well-known cards with a strong collector community behind them - pieces that are easier to trade, sell on, or add to an existing collection without friction.
Both are completely valid. They just need completely different buying approaches. The Box Report documents every card against whichever brief you gave us - so you always know why each piece is in there.
This is a buying service, not financial advice. We make no representations about future value.

It's a fair question.
Structurally: your wallet sits in a dedicated Floor & Folio business account with your transfer reference attached - always attributable to you, never mixed with operating funds. Every card is documented before dispatch, receipts are retained, and unused funds are refunded within 3-5 working days.Practically: this is a founder-run service and we're keeping the April run deliberately small. Reputation is built one order at a time - a bad experience at this stage doesn't just lose a client, it ends the business. That's a strong incentive to get it right.
We don't have years of reviews yet. What we have is a clear process, written standards, and a paper trail on every order.
If you'd like to talk before registering, we’d love that.
