Effective April 2026
These terms govern all orders placed with Floor & Folio, a UK sole trader buying concierge service. By confirming your guardrails and funding your wallet, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms in full.
Floor & Folio acts as your buying agent - not as a retailer, dealer, or investment adviser. All cards purchased on your behalf belong to you from the moment of purchase.
1. The Order Process
Every order follows six steps: brief, guardrails, wallet, execute, QC, ship. Nothing is purchased until guardrails are confirmed by both parties in writing.
Your brief must include your substitution mode and, for Box Builder, your collection style preference. Guardrails are confirmed within 24–48 hours of brief submission. Your wallet must be funded and cleared before sourcing begins - for show runs, at least 5 working days before the show date.
By confirming your guardrails and funding your wallet, you agree to these terms in full. No separate signature is required.
2. Fees & Cancellation
Show Runner — 20% of card spend. Minimum £35 per run. Concierge Sourcing — 12% of card spend. Minimum £25 per item. Fee capped at £600 per item regardless of card value. Box Builder — 15% of card spend. Minimum £30 per mandate.
The service fee is a professional fee for work performed, not a success fee tied to outcome. It covers brief review, comp research, show preparation, sourcing, negotiation, QC, and documentation — work that begins before any card is purchased.
The minimum fee is non-refundable in all circumstances. It applies from the moment guardrails are confirmed, regardless of how many cards are found or whether the order proceeds to dispatch.
Additional charges that may apply: Show Runner orders of 26–60 items carry a £15 administration fee; 61+ items are quoted individually. Raw singles under £10 carry a £1 per card handling fee. Third-party authentication for items over £2,000 is passed through at cost.
Cancellation before guardrails are confirmed - you may withdraw at no charge.
Cancellation after guardrails, before any purchase - the minimum service fee for your product applies and is retained. Your remaining wallet balance is refunded within 3 working days.
Cancellation after purchase — unwind - once a card has been purchased on your behalf it belongs to you, so cancellation becomes an unwind rather than a simple refund. The following applies:
We attempt to resell the item promptly and keep you informed throughout.
An unwind fee of 12.5% of the original purchase price applies per item, retained from the sale proceeds to cover resale friction.
If the resale price is lower than the original purchase price, you cover the shortfall.
If the resale price is higher than the original purchase price, you receive the difference after the unwind fee.
If an item has not sold within 30 days, next steps are agreed upon between both parties. A full record of the resale process is provided throughout.
The original service fee is not refunded as part of an unwind - the sourcing work was performed and completed at the point of purchase.
3. Shipping
Shipping is included in your wallet and quoted at guardrails stage.
Up to £500 order value - £12 (£750 compensation cover)
£500–£1,000 - £16 (£1,000 compensation cover)
£1,000–£2,500 - £24 (£2,500 compensation cover)
Over £2,500 - quoted at guardrails stage with additional insurance arranged
4. Wallet and Refunds
Your wallet covers card spend, service fee, and shipping in one transfer. Any unspent balance is refunded within 3 working days of dispatch.
5. Condition and QC
We use four condition tiers: Mint/Near Mint, Light Play, Moderate Play, and We Do Not Source. Definitions are published on our Standards page and applied consistently across all orders.
Every card is inspected against the QC checklist on our Standards page before purchase. Cards over £100 are photographed front and back. Cards over £300 are filmed under direct light. All vendor receipts are retained for a minimum of 90 days post-dispatch.
6. Condition Disputes
Disputes must be raised within 48 hours of confirmed delivery. On receipt of a valid dispute, we share the dispatch photographs and/or video. Where the evidence supports your claim, we offer a resolution - partial refund, return and full refund, or replacement sourcing at no additional service fee. Where dispatch evidence supports our documented condition, we share it and close the dispute.
7. Loss and Damage in Transit
All orders are dispatched with appropriate compensation cover. In the event of loss or damage in transit, we manage the carrier claim on your behalf. Your wallet is not charged for any card not successfully delivered. Compensation is subject to the carrier's terms and the level of cover selected at guardrails stage.
8. Not Financial Advice
Floor & Folio is a buying agent, not a financial adviser. Nothing on this website, in the Box Report, in any guardrails conversation, or in any other communication from Floor & Folio constitutes investment advice or a representation about the future value of any card. Cards purchased through Floor & Folio are purchased as collector items.
9. Limitation of Liability
Floor & Folio's total liability in connection with any order is limited to the total wallet amount for that order. We are not liable for changes in card value after purchase, cards not sourced where none met the agreed guardrails, delays outside our control, or import duties levied on international deliveries.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence.
10. Confidentiality
We will not share your brief, guardrails, order details, or wallet balance with any third party except where required to fulfil your order or where required by law. Your name will not be used in any marketing without your explicit consent.
11. Changes
Floor & Folio reserves the right to update these terms at any time. The version in effect at the time of your guardrails confirmation governs your order. The current version is always available at floorandfolio.co.uk/terms.
